Call 902-563-6231 or book online. I am a graduate of Acadia University’s M.Ed. in Counselling program and a Registered Counselling Therapist Candidate (RCT-C) with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists (NSCCT).
I have been involved in the education system for over 30 years with experience with people of all ages. I have personal and professional experience in several cross-cultural settings and welcome the opportunity to explore with you your experience of life. I recognize that there are many factors affecting one’s experience, some individual, many societal which can be explored in therapy.
Life is unpredictable and everchanging. There are times in all of our lives where the support of others is necessary in order to be our best selves, the self which is aligned with our true nature. Whether you are experiencing a difficult transition, on the edge of change, questioning your sense of self and place in the world, dealing with difficult experiences or are just not feeling your best and don’t know why, counselling can be a useful process in your continual growth.
I will work with you to create a safe space to explore and set goals for your life. I take a person-centered humanistic approach drawing from cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), solution-focused therapy, mindfulness and meditation among other modalities. As each person is unique, your therapy will be tailored to suit your needs and preferences.
I work with individual clients from teens to seniors of any age. Hospital, nursing home, retirement living setting visits can be arranged. If you cannot come to me, I may be able to come to you- reach out to discuss this option. I offer special rates for seniors, college/university students, as well as international new comers.
